Hey, man. Some shit is worth beating each other up over...
Edit (April 30th, 2010): This comic won second place in the Board of Publications Excellence in Journalism Award for the 2009-2010 academic year in the Comics category.

102. Saruman's Sorrow
The Ficus benjamina really is an 80-year old, unique tree that really is in danger of being destroyed by Saruman's Rec Center ... OK so all of that's true except the Saruman part ... but I really wanted Ents in a comic some how.
It's actually in danger of being destroyed by UH's campus center expansion which will include a rec center ... and a giant tower of evil.

101. Tech Support
The second comic submitted to the College Cartoonist competition on technology and student life. It too was rejected (there, there comic 101).

98. Going Electronic
One of two comics that was submitted to the StudentAffairs.com College Cartoon Contest. The theme (as usual for them) was technology and campus life.
Unfortunately this comic was rejected so instead I decided to publish it in a newspaper with a readership of up to 20,000 instead ... I don't actually feel too bad about that.
Note: that 20,000 is a very rough figure. That would be if every student read it ... which clearly never happens.

Ham Hocks and Moon Rocks
So NASA gives our state moon rocks, like, a few years back. We, naturally, lose them for awhile - like you've never lost invaluable chunks of Luna before.
Anyway, the rocks turned up a few days ago, cleverly stashed away in on of Linda Lingle's drawers full of gifts.
As the Honolulu Advertiser reported; technically the rocks weren't lost as they had remained in the possession of the state government the whole time... sort of.

96. Soylent Apes of Wrath
I don't know, some times I just get on a Charlton Heston thing and it takes a while to flush out of my system - kind of like a bowel movement.

95. It's People!
Yes, it's time to gear back up for school. That means The Sun Also Shines on the Moronic is back to publishing three times a week and back to making fun of M.R.C. Greenwood, Linda Lingle, Virginia "The Devil" Hinshaw and so very many others.
People is the subject of this comic, as the title implies, and (more specifically) the eating of certain groups of these people in order to avoid paying them. Hopefully that came across fairly well. Bon Appetite!
Oh yes, one more thing: the photo in the background was taken by Lauren Tsugawa from the Lanikai Pillboxes. Merci beaucoup.
Note: Now that school's back in session, I'll try to keep doing the Paradise Lost thing. I kind of got distracted after Christmas with all me new-fangled loot and yule tide booty (as in gifts...).
